Five things you need to own NOW

Shiny PVC, vinyl, leather are all part of a micro trend that has popped up this year catching almost everyone unprepared, well us mere mortals anyway!  Fashion editors and the like, were stomping around fashion week avoiding the puddles in their PVC trenches looking all fashiony, like nobodies business. On the catwalks, Saint Laurent and Lanvin  were forerunners in the trend with Laurent offering shiny dresses and Lanvin subverting the suit. For the rest of us though, a mac is the safest option and will avoid the possibility of being mistook for a Rupaul’s drag race entrant (unless of course that’s the look you’re going for).

the coat

This coat will keep the rain off in style.  A classic trench with a twist, the vinyl material thoroughly updates the jacket –  so 60s but so now!

the scent

A relative newcomer on the scent scene, Water and Wild perfumes are perfectly balanced. Once they heady top notes evaporates on this scent, what remains is a beautiful and exotic blend which is timeless and elegant. This tuberose and frankincense scent is a particularly lovely for the colder months.

the sweater

Sweater weather, its sweater weather! Time to cozy up in some nice knits and again Littlewoods have a huuuuge range of winter woolies and cotton sweats. This top has embroidered flowers on it which break up the black.

the pants

Dorothy Perkins is often overlooked, but a quick scour of their website throws up some real gems. For basics as well they can’t be beaten.

the boots

Now is the time to buy your winter boots. If you buy cleverly you can pick up a pair that will take you from desk to disco and everywhere in between. They are suede which is perfect for evening wear and the heel has just enough lift to keep you comfortable all day long.
