Five things you need to own NOW

Still feeling the chill? Even though the days are getting longer, don’t be fooled, the nip is still there. Time for some trans-seasonal tricks to get you over the hump.

the sweater

Cashmere is a great pick for all seasons. Wool is that perfect fabric that keeps you cool when its warm and toasty when its frosty.  This cosy knit does exactly what it says on the tin.

Preen/ Debenhams has consistently come up trumps for affordable well made pieces. This lady like faux wrap skirt with white button detailing is an instant classic. Easily worn with heels and trainers, its super elegant and yet versatile.

the bag

Flamingos are dead! Sorry, but our beloved pink feathered that featured on every gee gaw and cushion going in 2017 is about to be replaced by some equally cool equines. Cue the zebra! Lots and lots of zebras. Stay ahead of the dazzle (yes the collective noun for zebras is a dazzle!) with this bag from Next.

the shoes

White boots are the easiest way to update your wardrobe for SS. They are also plenty of offerings on the high street to keep every one happy. Office and Schuh have some lovely pairs from both ends of the price spectrum but these ones are from Penneys.

Pearls are making a comeback, but aside from the traditional string, there are plenty of ways to wear them. This art deco inspired ring from Juvi is adorned with a freshwater pearl is just lovely and is thoroughly modern.
